St. Rose Youth Ministry strives to create an environment for youth to discover and practice their Catholic faith in a variety of ways designed to enliven and enrich their faith lives. Through a comprehensive model of Youth Ministry going beyond our Sacramental Preparation classes and youth group, St. Rose youth ministry offers many ways for the young people to find greater involvement in our Church. We create programs and events for prayer, faith formation, social activities and service. We also offer opportunities for young people to serve as liturgical ministers, which seres a powerful example to their peers and gives new life to our masses. In addition to our classes and small events, youth are invited and encouraged to attend our retreats, camps, trips and even National events. Pictures of such activities are seen on this page.
St. Rose Youth Ministry played a huge part in the planning and implementation of Camp Rad this year.
Camp Rad is the diocesan leadership camp for Jr. High Youth, which invites kids from our whole diocese to a week of fun and faith formation.
The young people from St. Rose Youth Ministry have aided in the development of this camp for over 12 years, helping make each camp a successful event.
The presence of God becomes apparent to the young people who attend this camp every year and we are overjoyed, as a team, to watch the young Church come alive.
St. Rose is blessed to be a part of many youth’s faith stories and we will continue to play an active role in this life changing event as part of future camps.
Many, many thanks to the staff and campers for making this a truly awesome week! God’s grace was felt by all of us who partook in
this truly evangelizing event.
We look forward to next summer to share this experience with a new community of campers.
