Old Church Restoration Update

We are nearing the final phases of the structural rehab of the Old Stone Church. The work, as you have seen, has been very slow. Since the Tubbs fire, it has been very difficult to get qualified workers. The structural steel contractor who has had a major part of the work is almost complete. The carpenters are now ready to get started on the walls and roof for the two towers at the entrance of the church and then the building of the floor. One good sign is the arrival on site of the lumber for the floor structure. The other good sign is the rain. The carpentry contractor can’t work outside in the rain, but can work in the church under roof. All that said a completion date is still elusive. It’s looking more like the end of February. 1/18/2019
