Baptismal Preparation

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
Our purpose is to welcome adults into the Catholic Church who wish to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Membership open to adults interested in becoming Catholics and receiving the
Sacraments.
St Rose Religious Education Program
This program provides religious education to the youth of the parish and to prepare them to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation.
Children in first grade through high school are welcome.
Liturgical Ministries
Altar Servers
The Altar Servers at St. Rose assist the priests during parish liturgies. Training
is held for new servers twice a year. Servers are asked to serve once a month
at various Masses.
Membership open to boys and girls in fourth through eighth grades.
Altar Society
The Altar Society cleans the Sanctuary and sacristy. The work takes about 45 minutes. We also wash and iron the small Mass linens at home.
The work is done after the 7:30 a.m. Mass on Monday.
Eucharistic Ministers
To assist at Mass by distributing Holy Communion, to visit and take Holy Communion
to the sick at home, in hospitals, and nursing homes.
Lectors
Our purpose is to provide prepared lectors for parish liturgies.
Open to parishioners interested in proclaiming God's Word.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Music at St. Rose Parish
We provide music and singing for Liturgies in our parish. .
Parishioners of
all ages who like to sing or play a musical instrument are welcome.
St Rose Parish Pastoral Council
The purpose of the St Rose Parish Pastoral Council is to deliberate and offer advice and counsel to the pastor in matters pertaining to the enhancement of the quality of parish life and pastoral activity at St Rose. The Parish Pastoral Council supports the pastor in his pastoral planning processes and pastoral goal setting, assists him in developing and implementing pastoral programs, assists him in improving pastoral services, assists him in evaluating the effectiveness of pastoral activities. The Parish Pastoral Council considers the strengths of our parish and areas that can be further developed, and sets goals to begin new programs that will benefit the parish community.

Ushers
The ushers greet the congregation prior to Mass, and hand out the missalettes
As the church fills up, we assist with seating. We take up the collections and
find volunteers to take up the offertory gifts. After Mass we distribute the
bulletins.

Community Outreach
Peace and Justice Committee
The committee was formed in 1989 at the request of our former Bishop John Steinbock.
Formal meetings ceased long ago but there continues to be activity caring for
families at Catholic Charities' Family Support Center. There is active and ongoing friendship with minority and marginalized
people in the parish. We have sponsored speakers, contributed bulletin articles
and worked for Church unity.

Respect Life
The Respect Life outreach of the Diocese of Santa Rosa promotes the dignity and sanctity of human life from conception to natural death through programs supporting prayer, education, pastoral care and advocacy. Our mission is to encourage the People of God of the Diocese of Santa Rosa to become what John Paul II has asked us to become: a people of life and a people for life (The Gospel of Life, no. 78).

St Rose C.A.R.E.S
Caregiving Advocates in Relationships providing Education and Support. To
support and advocate for the health of every member of the parish family. We
believe the health of a person depends on the spiritual, mental, physical, and
emotional wellness of that individual. Sponsored by Catholic Charities.
We provide a vast array of services including: assist clients who are physically unable to drive to various appointments and errands as needed, shop for clients who are physically unable to do this on their own or need assistance with the process and home visits to lonely, sick, or at-risk seniors.
Membership open to to all parishioners.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society's focus is to provide groceries. Food is distributed to needy families Monday through Friday. We serve up to 60 families per week. Operating funds are provided by the
second collection on the 5th Sunday of the month. The local conference meets the first Monday at 10 a.m. in the
Sr. Therese Center.

Catholic Organizations
Columbian Squires
The Columbian Squires is a Catholic youth organization developing
leadership and Christian qualities in young men through service to the community
and exploration of their faith.
Membership open to Catholic boys, age 12 to 18.
CYO Basketball
CYO is an organization dedicated to promoting Christian values in an atmosphere
of sportsmanship and fellowship, through sports and sports related activities.

I.C.F. Italian Catholic Federation
A lay organization, seeking to promote religious, cultural, social and charitable activities to those Catholics with an Italian heritage. We are also open to non-Italians who are Catholics and want to share in our activities.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, family, fraternal service organization.
We carry out programs in the areas of Church, community, council, family
and youth. We are active in supporting the parishes and also work within the
Diocese to assist with projects as requested by the Bishop.
Membership open to Catholic men 18 and older.
Young Ladies Institute (Y.L.I.)
We are dedicated to the Christian principles of charity and love. Our purpose
is to help others. We support many charities and have spiritual, cultural, and
educational activities as well as social activities. We give you the opportunity
to promote the work of the Church. We offer you friendship and support. Come
grow with us!
Membership open to Catholic Women 18 and older.
Young Men's Institute (Y.M.I.)
Helping Seminarians and Catholic Elementary Schools.
Membership open to practicing catholics.
